Charles & Musa Wedding

Hi there,

I did a Zimbabwean Wedding a few weeks ago. Charles & Musa were just a delight to shoot; they were so happy and full of smiles throughout the day (and I promise you they were smiling genuinely and not because I kept saying "smile - look at my camera"). The wedding was held at Fuze Hill at Chelmsford, which is such a wonderful and compact venue.

Anyway, the day was a success even though there were countless delays (i.e the Bishop was stuck in traffic???? haven't he heard that before), people still had fun. I managed to squeeze those all important couple shots (which I adore) which brought together the whole proceedings of the day. One thing that I must say is that besides the food (which was amazing - so spicy, rich ..... sorry back to photography), the general atmosphere was amazing. The crowd brought Zimbabwe to Chelmsford, singing, yelling and dancing. Even the old people were moving lol! But enough of my endless talking, below are a few images from the wedding. Enjoy

Collette & Andy Wedding - Photographed By Junior Agyeman Owusu

Wow what a couple and what a wedding. Collette is wild and has so much energy and flair and Andy if outrageous with so much coolness. Together them form a very eccentric and beautiful couple. Prior to the wedding both myself and Collette met and we talked for ages not necessary about photography but of everything else (i.e. golf and tennis which she is obsessed with). After our initial consultation I said to myself that this couple is going to be so much fun. Anyway, on we went to the pre-wedding shoot which we did in central London. Even though the rain had the final say at the end we still managed to get some cool shots.

On we went full steam with the wedding. For some strange reason I was overly excited about the wedding day itself. I believe the reason for this was because of the 12 course menu they had planned for everything as well as the apartment after party, exclusively for all the young people (well young in heart anyway). The wedding day was so relaxed, organized and very free flowing. I started off at Collette and Andy’s home where we took some getting ready shots. Now I must say, it was my first Chinese wedding so I was extremely intrigued on how events will unfold. To my amazement Collette’s side hand the groom doing press ups and waxing, what a sight I must say.

Overall the day went smoothly and we manged to capture some really beautiful moments and artistic couple shots. If I had to sum up this wedding in one word I would say “eccentric”. From beginning to end there was character yet simplistically. But enough with all my yabbing, please enjoy the images.
